TAKE A PITSTOP AT THE NEW TRACK IN TOWN
Princes Quay to transform its ground floor for a fantastic FREE summer activity
When: 6th August – 7th September
Where: Princes Quay Shopping Centre, Quayside Level 1
Quayside level 1 at Princes Quay Shopping Centre is set to be transformed into a ‘Wacky Races’ style race track, FREE for all the family to enjoy. Weaving its way around the ground floor open space, the track will be an exciting activity for all the family to enjoy.
Fun and interactive, the track will host a whole load of challenges including a Grand Prix style knock out two-lap race, as well as additional competitions. Visitors will get the chance to take part, or they can watch the fun from the upper levels of the centre. A special Purple Prix race will ensure that autistic visitors and those with special needs will still be able to enjoy the installment.
Each car will have its own distinctive style so drivers will be easily spotted from all levels and there will be suitable cars for adults, juniors and little ones. Visitors will also be given exclusive offers and discount vouchers to use within the centre.
Competitors will then be able to celebrate in style on the Zany Races winners’ podium which will be located on Outlet Level 3 along with a themed activity area for all to enjoy.
John Magee, Centre Manager said:
“We’re really excited to launch our Zany Races track – we know how hard it is to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays so we wanted to offer something completely unique and free for all the family. We’re always looking for new and exciting ways in which we can use the space in and around the shopping centre, so keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming events.”
With a wide and varied leisure offering, PQ is becoming Hull’s hub for family entertainment, with child-friendly restaurants, Vue cinema and a whole host of other activities available.
Working in partnership with Princes Quay the talented Drunk Animal team will be installing the exciting addition to the scheme opening 6th August, Drunk Animal Director, Calvin Innes commented:
“As a creative agency, we get to work on some fun projects but this one has to be one of our favourites. Any project where you get to design and create a cartoon style race track is a good one and we’re hoping that everyone has as much fun taking part over summer as we have done putting it together.”
