GEEK TRADER COMES TO PRINCES QUAY
Video Game festival comes to Princes Quay. Geek Trader returns for its fifth year and promises to be bigger and better!

The Geek Trader video game festival has named Princes Quay as its new home for the fifth Hull festival. This year it promises to be bigger and better than ever. There will be a fantastic range of traders, with the opportunity to play a vast selection of consoles and arcade games. Giving customers the opportunity to engage with the biggest gaming tournament in Hull which will be streamed on Princes Quay’s BIG digital screen.
The event has pulled in some big industry names such as GAME, Retro Events and Revival Retro events. Spread over 80 tables, the shopping centre will be home to an incredible array of sellers, covering everything from retro video games, collectibles, comics & movie merchandise.
Visitors will also have the chance to visit the gaming room which will have the very best in current gen gaming. With PS4, Xbox One, PSVR, Switch & more. Another section will be dedicated to old school arcade style games and retro consoles.
Entry to the market is FREE, while entry to the games room and arcade will be £3 for adults and £1 for children. Once you pay to enter the games room, everything is free to play.

Sore Thumb Retro Games in York and Hull-based company Retro Gaming Cables will be sponsoring the event.
Cosplay is welcomed and encouraged, so whether you want to spend the day browsing, challenge your mate to a game of Mario Kart or prove your video game prowess in Hull’s biggest gaming tournament, the Geek Trader event is for you.
Princes Quay Centre Manager, John Magee, added:
“We know there are many avid gamers in Hull and we’re really excited to bring this huge event to the centre – there is so much variety at the festival this year and the organisers have done a great job in bringing together an event which will spread across all three floors of the centre. We can’t wait to see everyone there.”
Love Hog Roast will also be serving up pulled pork, sausages, hot dogs, chicken breast chunks as well as veggie options.
